Calculate the exact costWhat biological materials do we transport and when is transportation required?
International transportation of biological materials is necessary for IVF and surrogacy programs when treatment takes place in another country. We deliver tissue samples and reproductive cells (oocytes, sperm, embryos). The need for medical biological material transport arises for patients who:
- have moved and wish to use previously frozen samples;
- live in different countries with their spouse;
- choose a clinic with more effective medicine abroad;
- turn to surrogacy or donation programs that are permitted in another country.
Delivering your future — we deliver not just biological materials, we deliver the opportunity to start a family, wherever you are. International transportation of biological materials is in demand for treatment abroad and for finding donors.
Delivery formats: between clinics and internationally
Timeframes and process depend on the complexity of the route: from 24 to 72 hours for international transfers.
Transportation of biological materials between clinics
The key task is precise coordination with both parties. The transportation of medical samples between clinics is accompanied by strict control of the chain of responsible persons, which eliminates the risks of substitution or loss of the cargo.
International transportation of biological materials
Includes document preparation, customs clearance and coordination with carriers. International delivery is carried out in containers approved for carriage in the aircraft cabin (containers are transported upright as hand luggage, without passing through X‑ray scanners). This guarantees complete safety. The delivery is accompanied by a specially trained courier.
Cryogenic and cryo transport: transportation of cryopreserved biological materials
Cryo transport of biological materials is used for samples requiring temperatures as low as –196°C (embryos, oocytes). Cryogenic transport of biological samples is carried out in dry Dewar vessels in liquid nitrogen vapor. The static holding time of the container is 13 days, which is sufficient for delivery to any point in the world. This ensures temperature stability throughout the journey, which is critical when transporting cryopreserved biological materials.
How we ensure safety and condition control
When transporting biological material, we use a system that includes: temperature monitoring, sealing with tamper‑evident indicators, and GPS tracking. For some destinations, we use data loggers. The client receives a report with logger data and transfer records.
Packaging and cryocontainers
We use certified thermal containers (model CHART MVE SC 4/2v). The “matryoshka” principle: a sealed primary container, absorbent material, secondary packaging, and a thermal box. For cryo cargo — special containers with tip‑over protection.
Tracking and transfer documentation
Each transport is tracked by a unique number. Upon transfer — strict identification: cross‑checking of labels, passports, and acceptance certificates. After successful delivery at the receiving clinic, we sign the documents and send them to you.
Documents and preparation for shipment
For the transportation of medical samples, the following are required: a letter from the receiving clinic, consents, invoices, and specifications. Labelling complies with the hazard class (UN 3373). Our specialist checks the documents before shipment. We handle customs clearance and preparation of accompanying papers. Preparation for transport takes up to 2 weeks.
Cost and timeframes for biological material transportation
The delivery price depends on the route, urgency, type of storage and format. Timeframes: from 24–48 hours to 72 hours for international shipments. Approximate cost (full price list available upon request):
