Calculate the exact costWhat Biomaterials We Transport and When Transportation Is Required
International biomaterial transportation is required for IVF and surrogacy programs when treatment takes place in another country. We deliver tissue samples and reproductive cells (oocytes, sperm, embryos). The need for medical biomaterial transportation arises for patients who:
- have relocated and want to use previously frozen samples;
- live separately from their spouse in different countries;
- have chosen a clinic abroad with more advanced medical treatment;
- use surrogacy or donation programs permitted in another country.
Delivering your future — we deliver not just biomaterials, but the opportunity to create a family wherever you are. International biomaterial transportation is in demand for treatment abroad and donor search programs.
Delivery Formats: Between Clinics and Internationally
Delivery times and processes depend on the complexity of the route: from 24 to 72 hours for international transfers.
Transportation of Biomaterials Between Clinics
The key task is precise coordination between both parties. Transportation of medical samples between clinics is carried out under strict chain-of-custody control, eliminating the risks of substitution or loss.
International Transportation of Biomaterials
Includes document preparation, customs clearance, and coordination with carriers. International delivery is carried out in containers approved for transport in the aircraft cabin (containers are transported vertically as carry-on luggage without passing through X-ray scanners). This guarantees complete safety. Transportation is accompanied by a specially trained courier.
Cryogenic and Cryo Transport: Transportation of Cryopreserved Biomaterials
Cryo transport of biomaterials is used for samples requiring temperatures down to -196°C (embryos, oocytes). Cryogenic transport of biological samples is carried out in dry shippers using liquid nitrogen vapor. The static holding time of the container is 13 days, which is sufficient for delivery anywhere in the world. This ensures temperature stability throughout the entire journey, which is critical for the transportation of cryopreserved biomaterials.
How We Ensure Safety and Environmental Control
During the transportation of biological materials, we use a system that includes temperature monitoring, tamper-evident seals, and GPS tracking. For certain destinations, we use data loggers. The client receives a report containing sensor data and transfer records.
Packaging and Cryogenic Containers
We use certified thermal containers (CHART MVE SC 4/2v model). The “nested protection” principle is applied: sealed vessel, absorbent material, secondary packaging, and thermal box. For cryogenic cargo, we use special anti-tip containers.
Tracking and Transfer Documentation
Each shipment is tracked using a unique number. During transfer, strict identification procedures are followed: verification of labels, passports, and transfer documents. After successful delivery to the receiving clinic, we sign the documents and send them to you.
Documents and Shipment Preparation
The transportation of medical samples requires: a letter from the receiving clinic, consent forms, invoices, and specifications. Labeling complies with hazard class requirements (UN 3373). Our specialist verifies all documents before shipment. We handle customs clearance and preparation of accompanying paperwork. Transportation preparation takes up to 2 weeks.
